Choosing the right builder to do a ‘once in a lifetime’ home renovation is such an important decision to get right, for obvious reasons. We learnt of FJ Construction through the excellent work they did at our neighbours a few years back, and I remember thinking at the time that if we get our house renovated - they would immediately be on the short list. Fatjon and his team are dedicated, hardworking and thoroughly professional - they are passionate about their work and focused on making the client happy and getting the best results possible. And that’s what they do. Now our renovation is nearly complete, other neighbours have been shocked at how fast they’ve completed it (2 storey extension and remodel in 3 months - and despite the Covid lockdown!), and other tradesman have commented on the high standard of the work and finishing. It’s very clear that Fatjon wants to delight his customers - and that should really give you confidence in selecting him. He’s also easy to deal with, honest, and a genuinely nice guy (as are Elton and the rest of the team). And they leave no mess - I mean they literally tidy at every stage of their work! I can only tell you that if you choose FJ, and you should, you will quickly realise you made the right choice! I can’t thank them enough for how they have transformed our house into the home we dreamed of!

I'd like to recommend my builder for anyone looking for one as I feel very lucky to have found him. Fatjon,of FJ Construction,and his team made a daunting project not just easy,but fun. They are so friendly,work hard and fast,pay attention to detail, know what they're doing, were super considerate of the neighbors/pets/kids, building control loved them,stuck to budget, finished the project early,and now they've finished I love my new space and miss the banter! 😃 If you've not got a personal recommendation for a builder (which I luckily had),it can be hard to know who to trust, so I thought I'd share. Fatjon and his team have been professional, honest and hardworking since day one. Although we are only half way through the project, we have been so impressed with the work ethic of Fatjon's team and the quality of their work. We would not hesitate to recommend him and have already done so to several of our friends.

Fatjon kept us fully involved through every step of the project, coming up with innovative ideas and suggestions all the way through which culminated in a superb, top quality finish. A genuine guy and a first class reliable company - recommended without hesitation!

We have recently used FJ Construction to build an extension at the front of our house and can only say that we are delighted with the results. Having dreaded the upheaval that any building work can cause, the whole job was completed with the minimum of disruption and within only three weeks. From start to finish, Fatjon and his team worked incredibly hard to complete the project, keeping us appraised of each stage of the build and advising, where appropriate, on the best way to put our plans into reality. Fatjon’s relaxed and calming manner was a refreshing change to other builders we had met, where unnecessary additions were made to the plans, at additional cost. We will be using FJ Construction for further work on our house this year and would have no hesitation on recommending them to do the same for others.

FJ Construction recently completed our house in St Albans, which included a loft conversion, a rear extension, a front extension, full internal renovation including a brand new kitchen, fencing and a patio/driveway. About 10 years ago we renovated our old house ourselves and my dad is in construction so we knew exactly what we wanted and were very thorough in our research for the perfect builder. After contacting a vast amount of companies, Fatjon and his company were by far our favourite and they had a good knowledge of the work that we needed done and it came at a very competitive price. Throughout the build, both our neighbours and us were extremely impressed on how tidy and organised they were. Fatjon and his team were always polite, courteous and professional from start to finish and worked hard to meet our deadline. What we especially liked was the passion and attention to detail that Fatjon has and it was as if it was his own house. This contributed to the final result and the whole house is truly amazing and we are so thankful to them all for understanding what we wanted in our forever home and bringing it to life.

Fatjon and his team have done a number of different jobs on my house, from building walls to roofing to plumbing. In every instance the work has been done promptly, efficiently and to the highest standard. Fatjon is extremely thorough and organised, remarkably neat (he leaves the worksite so tidy at the end of the day I could barely tell he'd been there!) and absolutely delightful. I really couldn't recommend him more highly.

I highly recommend Fatjon, who has been responsible for top quality work at our home since 2010. He is reliable, punctual, honest and a pleasure to have around. He has a great eye for detail and a remarkable ability to provide solutions when others merely see problems.

FJ Construction has carried out a number of projects on behalf of my clients, plus the complete refurbishment of my own property earlier this year. Fatjon and his team are at all times professional, and the standard of work is excellent. I am always particularly pleased with the attention to detail in the finish, and his cheerful team are a joy to have around.

You were fair and transparent about costs and looked for cost effective-solutions and charged us a very reasonable price for extras – and did lots of little things for free. It’s clear you have a good relationship with the building regulations people from the council who clearly respected you and your work which was very reassuring and helped everything go smoothly. The level of tidiness on the site was amazing. I’ve had to improve my own standards to try and keep up! You kept an eye on the work of other, unrelated suppliers working on the site and made sure they did everything properly! The team were always respectful of our home and were very pleasant and unobtrusive to be around which was particularly appreciated by our daughters. We will miss you! Fatjon and his team have been working on our property for three months and we are delighted with the results. He has finished the project in half the time we expected, on budget and with incredibly high standards of finish. He isn’t happy until you are happy and nothing is too much trouble, the levels of care and attention to detail from Fatjon and all his team whilst working on our home has been outstanding. We have children and pets and have lived on site throughout the renovation not making it easy for his team to work around us but the team have been fantastic. They all work incredibly hard, are extremely clean and tidy and as a result of the excellent project management from Fatjon the project has moved at great speed.  We are delighted with the results and can’t recommend them highly enough.

"Fatjon employs his own tradesmen, all of whom are friendly, diligent and reliable. He takes on one job at a time and, having some experience with building contractors, I can almost guarantee you will not find another who turns up every single day your Planning Permission allows and works flat out to get your project completed in the shortest time to the highest of standards. His charges are made clear upfront and any (inevitable) additions you may have are priced fairly at the time (no shockingly opaque bill presented to you at the end!). The fact that he only takes one job at a time means he certainly wont be available immediately but well worth the wait for as stress-free a renovation experience as it is possible to have."

Fatjon and his team did an outstanding job on our two-storey back and side extension. They delivered the project on budget and well ahead of time - it was done in 4 months! Fatjon has all the qualities of a great builder: an excellent project manager, conscientious, completely trustworthy and really cared about the project.
